Malaga Philharmonic offers free cinematic concerts in Estepona

The Estepona Music Festival is kicking off with a grand concert entitled “Grandes Mitos de Peliculas”, which will take place on Saturday 19th, at 9pm. in the Felipe VI Auditorium. 

Conducted by Maestro José María Moreno, the event will feature a captivating selection of iconic film soundtracks, celebrating the works of the most famous soundtrack composers, such as John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, Alan Silvestri, Henry Mancini, and Klaus Badelt.

The program includes many well-known pieces, such as the themes of Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones by John Williams, The Prince of Egypt and Gladiator, by Hans Zimmer, Cinema Paradiso and The Mission, by Ennio Murricone, Forrest Gump, by Alan Silvestri, Moon River and The Pink Panther, by Henry Mancini, and Pirates of the Caribbean, The Curse of the Black Pearl, by Klaus Badelt.

The public is invited to attend the free concert organised by Estepona Council, in collaboration with Malaga City Council, and the Regional Government of Andalusia. The public can pick up invitations from Monday, 14 July, at the Padre Manuel Cultural Centre in Calle San Fernando, 2 between 10am and 2pm on weekdays, and from 5pm to 8pm on Fridays.

The orchestra is a resident ensemble for prestigious events like the Jaén International Piano Competition and the Andrés Segovia International Classical Guitar Competition.

This cinematic evening will showcase the orchestra’s versatility, and commitment to excellence in culture. Don’t miss this unforgettable night at the Felipe VI Auditorium on Calle Diputado Ignacio Mena, 29680 Estepona.
