Squid Game – Season Three

Squid Game season 3 is just when you thought it couldn’t get more bizarre. Picking up mid-battle, the final season dives straight into brutal games, a silenced Gi-hun, and a new player dragged in without consent – yes, it’s as disturbing as it sounds. The satire which made the first series razor sharp has now waned. Now, the games feel like a sloppy afterthought to endless philosophical monologues. And yet… it’s still addictive. Just enough madness will keep you glued to your screen. You’ll want it to end but you won’t. Netflix’s iconic thriller has a flawed but memorable end.

Ironheart

Dominique Thorne’s performance as Riri Williams is brilliant. She juggles tech, trauma and a gang morally-grey pizza parlor rebels. Ironheart has a fast pace and is visually appealing. The film is aimed at a younger audience, so older fans might find it a little boring. The AI bestie story adds some heart while Anthony Ramos “Hood'” flirts at being a good villain. The six-episode journey is worth it if you can keep up the pace, and don’t mind a few character wall-slams. Disney+ is now streaming the series.
