Marbella fashion show shines spotlight on Andalucía

Marbella is set to host one of its most glamorous events of the year, the 8th Marbella Fashion Show, on July 10 and 11 in Puerto Banús’ Lola Flores Avenue. The event is a confirmation of Marbella’s status as a global fashion centre, and provides a platform to both established and new designers.

At the official presentation, Carlos García, Malaga’s regional delegate for tourism, stressed fashion’s cultural significance, stating, “Fashion is culture and artistic expression. Marbella is a reference within this universe thanks to the catwalk. He expressed his support for a creative event that would have a positive impact on the media, as well as industry and creativity.

María José González, head of Nueva Moda Producciones, praised local talent, mentioning, “We continue to champion Málaga’s immense original talent, and this is the perfect showcase to promote it and encourage support for our region’s fashion.”

She thanked all the sponsors and said she hopes that the show will boost a segment that “generates tourism, creates jobs and promotes Marbella’s attractive image globally”.

The event begins on the 10th of July at 9:30pm, with shows by renowned designers like Romeo Couture. Starlit Universe. Podium Marbella. Ayuri Beldi. Kava Fashion. Steele. Vitivisan Dame Couture. Maher will also launch a new collection, inspired by the Mediterranean and designed by Maher monsour.

On July 11, starting at 8pm, the Málaga de Moda Runway will showcase collections by Lucía Cano, Sandra Roja, Inma de la Riva, and Pepe Canela. The evening will also feature the ‘Future of Málaga de Moda Design 2025′ contest, where twelve up-and-coming Andalusian designers will compete for the award.
