Estepona will welcome an open-air art exhibition by acclaimed Madrid-based illustrator Coco Dávez, featuring her celebrated “Faceless” project.
The opening of the exhibition on 27 June will feature 17 stunning works, some created especially for Estepona. They depict 20th century icons like Pablo Picasso, David Bowie and Chiquito De La Calzada. Known for her bold use of colour and shapes, Dávez captures the essence of her subjects without needing to show their faces, making them instantly recognisable.
The display, along Calle Terraza, will run from 26 June to 15 September. It will join cities such as London and Hong Kong that have previously hosted “Faceless”. The inauguration on June 27 at 8pm will feature special guests, including Cordoban fashion designer Palomo Spain and art gallerist Topacio Fresh, as well as flamenco singer Soleá Morente, who will perform a free concert at 11pm near the Centro Cultural Mirador del Carmen.
Coco Dávez, whose real name is Valeria Palmeiro, is a multifaceted artist known for her work in painting, photography, and art direction. Her colourful style led to collaborations between global brands, including Shiseido Netflix Dior Prada. Her work has been displayed in many major cities including Paris, Miami and Lisbon. She has also been recognized by Forbes as an important figure in the world of art.
This outdoor exhibition will run from Friday, June 27 to September.
