Blue Stompers Quartet at Speakeasy

Favourites at the Speakeasy, the Blue Stompers Quartet, a gig of fusion of R&B, Afro-American Blues, and Boogie Woogie, will take place at Speakeasy Jazz Club & Cocktails on Friday, June 27.

The Blue Stompers Quartet, with members from the UK and Cyprus, as well as Finland and Spain, is a hidden multi-national treasure. They have been a mainstay in the Northern and Southern European Music Scene for years. The Stompers sound like boogie-woogie, Afro-American blues, 40s New Orleans jazz and the rawest R&B of Dr Feelgood.

Pablo Stylianou (singer & harmonica), originally from Greenwich in London, who moved to Spain in 2002 and has played with a whole host of Blues bands along the Costa del Sol before forming The Blue Stompers Jump Review in 2014. Little Walter, James Harman and James Cotton are among his biggest influences.

Victor Sanchez has been hailed as a true inspiration and has played with some of Costa del Sol’s best musicians. He has an individual style that makes him stand out from the rest.

Mark Duus, a Finnish musician, was a major player in the Blues and Rockabilly scenes of Finland before he moved to Spain. He performed with some of Finland’s best bands.

Foot-tapping, hip-swinging The Blue Stompers Quartet plays Speakeasy Jazz Club & Cocktails at 11.30pm on Friday, June 27, Las Rampas, 10, Fuengirola. Entry is free, but the cocktails are pricey.
