Marc Márquez delivered a flawless performance to claim victory in yesterday’s MotoGP Grand Prix at MotorLand Aragón, completing a perfect weekend for the Ducati Lenovo Team. The Spanish rider secured pole position, won Saturday’s sprint, and capped off his dominance with a commanding race win, finishing 1.107 seconds ahead of his brother, Álex Márquez.
The result marks Márquez’s seventh career win at the Aragón circuit and propels him 32 points clear in the World Championship standings. Álex Márquez, riding for the BK8 Gresini Ducati team, crossed the line in second, completing a historic one-two finish for the Márquez brothers on home soil.
Francesco “Pecco Bagnaia”, 2023’s World Champion, completed the podium as third place. This was a welcome result for Ducati following a series of disappointing performances. The podium was dominated by Ducati, highlighting the Italian manufacturer’s dominance in the 2025 racing season.
KTM’s Pedro Acosta impressed once again, narrowly missing out on a podium in fourth place—his best result to date. The 20-year old Spaniard was frustrated after the race. He said, “I wanted to be in the mix and not just near it.”
The race weekend was marked by high emotion and celebration, with the Márquez brothers dancing before the crowd and presenting team shirts to their mother in a heartfelt tribute. Davide Tardozzi, the Ducati team principal, described it as ‘the happiest of all podiums.
Bagnaia is looking to close the point gap as Mugello nears. Ducati will perform key technical testing. For now, however, all eyes are on Marc Márquez, whose flawless performance in Aragón has firmly established him as the championship frontrunner.
