In the early morning hours of Thursday, a robbery in Malaga left four people dead including a Police Officer.

The robbery happened in the Teatinos neighborhood of Malaga. After the crime the suspects fled from the scene of the crime in a vehicle, and entered the AP-7 in the opposite direction. Around 5:30am, the pursuit ended with a head-on crash near Torremolinos.

Three of those killed were in the fleeing car. The fourth person was a policeman aged 48 who had just completed his night shift. He was on his way home, and not part of the police operation. The four people involved were all killed in the collision.

The scene was flooded with emergency services, including firefighters from the Central station, Carretera de Cadiz Station, and Churriana station. To reach the victims, firefighters had to cut through the wreckage. Local police removed the driver of one of the cars before the fire spread. However, the man died later from his injuries.

The AP-7’s right lane was closed as emergency crews cleared the area. Traffic was disrupted for several hours.

The community was shocked by this tragic incident, which claimed the life an off-duty police officer and resulted in the death of three suspects. The local police continue their investigation in order to learn more about the robbery, and the events that led to the accident.
