British woman quizzed over ‘unprovoked’ drunken attack in Mallorca street


Police Local in Palma has questioned a BRITISH lady after an attack on a city’s street.

The 33 year old has been accused by a woman of being punched twice in the faces on Avenida Joan Miro last Tuesday at 9pm.

Authorities reported that both the victim and aggressor-of an unknown nationality-both showed signs of drunkenness.

The victim reported to police that while she was out with friends, a woman whom she didn’t know approached her and struck her twice in the street.

The woman was treated at Son Espases Hospital.

The Brit has denied any involvement in the assault, but he still faces charges of causing a minor injury.

She was not detained, but she was informed that if the victim filed a formal complaint, then the victim would need to summon her to court.

The police has not stated whether the women involved were residents or tourists.
