Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United will go head-to-head in the 2025 UEFA Europa League final tonight, Wednesday, May 21, at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao.
The Europa League final is a lifeline for both teams who have experienced disappointing domestic seasons.
Both clubs are trying to salvage their Premier League seasons. Tottenham and Man United have finished the 2024–25 season in 17th and 16th place – their worst non-relegated finishes since the league’s inception.

Both sides are concerned about injuries

Tottenham’s absences include:
- Dejan Kulusevski injured against Crystal Palace on 11 May
- James Maddison, Lucas Bergvall and the rest of this season’s team
- Son Heung-min is doubtful because of an ankle injury
- Radu Dragusin has been out since February due to an ACL rupture
Manchester United’s injured players
- Leny Yoro, a teenage French centre-back who was injured during United’s recent defeat to West Ham in Old Trafford, has been unable to walk.
Still, Man United boss Rúben Amorim was cautiously optimistic:
