Marbella is set to be filled with color, music, and Cuban flavour as this weekend’s Cuban Festival takes place. La Pequeña Cuba Fontanilla Square will host a festival between May 16 and 18.
The event is organized by the Torremolinos cultural group, “Cubanos Unidos”. It includes a programme that includes live music, dance performances, food and drink, craft stalls, and workshops. Enjoy a Cuban experience without ever leaving the Costa del Sol.
The arrival of “Los Guaracheros”, an Albacete-based Cuban dance group, is one of the highlights. Their energy and rhythm will be brought to Marbella through a combination of Latin choreography and traditional Cuban dancing, as well as a dance workshop. The group will perform a lively show on Friday night to open the festival. On Saturday they will teach a Rueda de Casino workshop and Cuban Conga, followed by a live performance. The final performance will take place on Sunday, before they return to Albacete.
It is the first performance of “Los Guaracheros,” and organizers have promised that it will be an unforgettable show. The group will also represent the cultural association “Amigos de Cuba”, who will perform simultaneously in Albacete’s Feria de las Culturas.
