Tellycall – a new management tool for the local police – has been launched by the Marbella Council. It allows the geolocation of incidents in real time.
The new technology was initially unveiled in 2022 with €113,000 in funding for the project. Now up and running, it forms part of a €600,000 investment in bringing police operations up to date.
Tellycall is a new police software that integrates geolocation technology with deep data analysis to enable officers to quickly and accurately pinpoint the location and identify the nearest patrol. It also allows them access important information like urban planning cease orders. The system integrates incident management, communications and resource tracking into one platform. This allows for strategic and rapid planning.
Now mobile units can view live maps, manage incidents and request backup services. They can also access surveillance cameras to gain immediate situational awareness.
It has been shown that the technology reduces response times dramatically, improving public safety and efficiency. Marbella’s police force can now deal with issues more quickly, saving police time all over Marbella. The council is planning to meet with neighbourhood associations over the next few months to explain how the system benefits them.
