McDonald’s is no longer ‘my kind of place’ – CSN News

Once the most popular fast-food chain in America, having sold over 300 billion burgers by 2013 and 6.5 million up until early this year, McDonald’s seems it’s no longer ‘my kind of place’ as its sales suffered the most significant drop since the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The reason? The reason?

BBC reported that customers were not moved by the Minecraft tie-in and the extended price offers, but instead made fewer visits in the first quarter of this year compared to 2024. report.

Chris Kempczinski, the chief executive of the second largest fast food chain in the United States, said that customers are “grappling” with uncertainty. However he assured investors that they could “navigate the toughest market conditions.” Mixue Ice Cream and Tea from China dethroned McDonald’s earlier this summer as the world’s largest food chain.

‘They can always count on McDonald’s for exceptional value’

The BBC reported that “McDonald’s numbers reflect the first two month of Donald Trump’s presidential term, with the reporting period concluding just before his barrage announcements of tariffs on 2 Apr.”

Kempczinski said to the BBC: “Consumers are dealing with uncertainty today, but can count on McDonald’s as a great value.”

Trump and Trump’s staff continue to ask Americans for their trust and to support his policies. They insist that they will create more jobs in the US by allowing companies to base factories or operations within the country, avoiding the new taxes of the president.

Many companies, economists and the general population aren’t convinced. His plans, they all think, will be difficult to execute and result in economic hardship and job losses.
