Miguel Zenón Quartet jazz out Torremolinos

The Clarence Jazz Club in Torremolinos is going to host the celebrated Miguel Zenón Quartet on Saturday, May 10, for a night of world-class jazz.

Led by Puerto Rican saxophonist Miguel Zenón, a multiple Grammy nominee and Guggenheim and MacArthur Fellow, the quartet will be presenting an unforgettable night mixing Latin American folkloric rhythms with their modern jazz sound. The concert starts at 10:00pm. Doors will open at 9:00pm. Tickets range from €40 to €45 in advance from the Clarence website.

Zenón, a leading figure in contemporary jazz, is famed for his innovative style, merging his Puerto Rican heritage into complex jazz standard and bebop compositions. The quartet, which includes pianist Luis Perdomo as well as bassist Hans Glawischnig and drummer Henry Cole delivers energetic performances, which have captivated audience members worldwide.
