CSN News: Benidorm thieves are dealt a blow as two women who preyed on tourists near hotels face a ban in the city center.

Two thieves who traveled to Benidorm in order to rob tourists were barred from entering the city center.

A judge issued an order of restraining action against women who were regularly making day trips out of their Alicante home to commit crimes.

The bag containing wallets and valuables was also targeted.

The scavengers also patrolled the pick-up points for holiday buses.

A second tactic is to follow older people as they leave their home to wander around the city, with the intention of stealing things from a backpack or bag.

The police said that the pair stole the car after one monitored the area and the other committed the theft.

Five specific crimes were identified by authorities between September 20,24 and March last year.

The court heard that they chose Benidorm repeatedly as their preferred location for crime.

It issued an order prohibiting them from entering the center of the city where many hotels were located.
