Age Concern Marbella – San Pedro seeks a new Head of Welfare to lead their established Welfare Department.

Sandra has been the calm, knowledgeable voice of the Helpline for seven years. She has decided to step down and give someone with special skills the opportunity to take her place. Our association, run by unpaid volunteers provides friendship, fun and free welfare advise to the English speaking community.

The selected candidate will supervise the Helpline and be the first person to contact those who need support. If you like to help others, are good on the phone, and would like to be part of a supportive group, then this could be your ideal role. A basic understanding of Spanish is required. You must be calm and reassuring, as the caller may be in distress.

We provide an induction manual and a comprehensive program to ensure that our advice is accurate, regardless of whether it’s general or detailed. Support is provided on an ongoing basis.
