THREE people have been arrested in the Granada area for selling ‘weapons of war’ to drug trafficking gangs.
Assault rifles were priced at up to €11,000 and the criminals even had an underground shooting range for the gear to be tested.
Guardia Civil and Policia Nacional have said that the range found in the Molino Nuevo area of Granada is the first of its type they’ve discovered in Spain.

It was constructed by hand and went down to three levels.

In Loja, Moraleda de Zafayona and Granada City, 11 raids on houses were conducted.
Three detainees who have criminal backgrounds were charged with illegal possession of weapons, storage of weapons of war and crimes against the public health.
They have not revealed their ages or nationalities.
Three assault rifles were among the large cache of guns seized, along with a machine-gun, six handguns and a semiautomatic shotgun.


Officers found abundant supplies of bullets and gun cartridges as well as over €60,000 cash plus two marijuana farms.
The weapons and ammo were buried and hidden in the land of a shanty home on the Almanjayar industry estate.

Video footage of the weapon testing and sales are sent through encrypted messaging applications.
The group, according to authorities, took significant security measures to prevent any police surveillance.
