Mo Salah declares allegiance to Liverpool FC CSN News


Mo Salah, to the delight of all Liverpool fans, has signed a two-year deal that will keep him at the Kop through 2027.

Mo Salah signed a two-year contract to stay at Liverpool FC on Friday, April 11.  He hopes that this will motivate Virgil van Dijk, who is also a Liverpool FC player, to sign a new two-year deal.  Every Liverpool fan hopes for this, with rumours flying that Trent Alexander-Arnold will be heading to Real Madrid.

How long is Mo Salah at Liverpool FC now?

Mo Salah is at Liverpool after signing a contract for a long time.  The 32-year old Egyptian was the subject of speculation since his contract expired, as it was suggested he would join another club. However, he proudly signed his new contract while sporting a watch reportedly worth £725,000 (€838,000).  Liverpool agreed to pay more money for him than they ever did before, so it’s not as if he couldn’t afford it.

What is Mo Salah’s new Liverpool FC Contract?

The contract is reported to be worth around £50 million (€58 million). Taking into account all the bonuses and clauses, according to The Telegraph’s Chris Bascombe, this will provide him with around £25 million (€29 million) per season. Put another way, that works out to be a salary of around £480,000 (€555,000) per week.

Salah responded to a question about his new contract by saying: “It’s great that we were able to get it done early, even before the season ended. Hopefully Virgil and the rest of the team will be next.” Just saying ‘hopefully! “He can do what he wants, but I’d love to have him back here next year.”

Salah, who has already scored 27 Premier League goals this season, is now the Premiership’s leading goal scorer. Salah’s incredible record places him third among all-time Reds top scorers. Roger Hunt, a Liverpool legend and Ian Rush currently sit ahead of him.

Salah has been honoured seven times during his tenure at Anfield. This includes medals from the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cups, UEFA Super Cups, FA Cups and two League Cups. Liverpool needs just six points more to win the Premiership, so fans expect him to add to his tally.
