Estepona to host charity rally

The ‘Oasis Raid’ will start on Thursday, making its way to Morocco on a charity-driven adventure to deliver medical and school supplies.

For the eighth year, Estepona will host the ‘Oasis Raid’ Rally, a motor event open to the general public that combines adventure and adrenaline with solidarity. Motor Adventure S.L. in collaboration Estepona Council organises the event. 

From 9am on Thursday, participating vehicles will undergo technical checks at the starting point of the race, the Recinto Ferial Deportivo, located directly in front of the Muñoz Pérez Stadium. At 1pm the drivers will begin their expedition to Africa.

Participants will be divided into two categories: ‘Raid’, consisting of vehicles registered in the 1980s and 1990s, and ‘All-Road’, made up of SUVs and 4x4s. The convoy will then cross neighbouring Morocco in a week-long journey, open for anyone to sign up for a special – and charitable – adventure through the desert.
