Benalmadena in bloom

Benalmadena Council has presented plans to bring the town into full bloom. Starting at El Bil Bil Castle, a variety works are being carried out in order for 14,000 plants to adorn streets at the most iconic points of the different districts.

Benalmadena’s Arroyo de la Miel as well as Benalmadena Pueblo will be filled with a burst of colour leading up to Holy Week. The council have stressed that they are proceeding with planting along the promenade, Malapesquera, Castillo El Bil Bil, the Sunset roundabout, as well as in main streets and avenues of the centre of Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena Pueblo.

The initiative was launched not only in these enclaves but also at different roundabouts including those that are located at the various entrances of the town.

These spring flowers, typical of Easter, encompass the varieties Petchoas, Alhelíes, Ageratum, Polygonum Capitatum and Scabiosas. The colours chosen are white, different shades of purple or lilac. It will take about three weeks to finish the work.
