From London to New York football fever has swept the globe, with the UK as well as the US having been confirmed as the host countries for the Women’s World Cups in 2031 and 2030.

The beautiful game is coming home – again, and it’s also going to America. This time it’s women’s turn, as the UK and US have been confirmed to host the Women’s World Cups for 2031 and 2030.

The aforementioned is a The following are some of the most important things to consider when purchasing a new vehicle: FIFA President Gianni Infantino revealed that England and Scotland have submitted their bids to the FIFA. Only valid bid to host the 2035 tournament – and with no rivals in sight, it appears to be a done deal in all but name. In the meantime, 2031 will see the Women’s World Cup hosted by United States.

Infantino’s words at the UEFA Annual Congress in Belgrade were not minced.

‘I can confirm that we have received one bid for 2031, and one valid bid for 2035,’ he told delegates.

‘The 2031 bid is from the USA and potentially some other Concacaf nations. The 2035 bid comes from Europe.

Infantino’s comments are a confirmation of the result. FIFA will confirm both hosts at a later date, but Infantino’s comments have made it official. The US is already gearing up for the 2026 men’s World Cup, co-hosted with Canada and Mexico, and is now set to become the first nation to host back-to-back senior World Cups – albeit across genders.

Football’s homecoming: One goal for the Home Nations

FIFA’s deadline to submit bids has now passed. The UK proposal is still unchallenged. Although whispers about a possible joint European-African bid between Spain, Portugal, and Morocco circulated, this unlikely trio failed to submit a formal application. This leaves the Home Nations in the clear lead for the 2035 host nation.

The first in British history

Despite the UK’s longstanding love of football, 2035 would be the first time it hosts the Women’s World Cup. After winning Euro 2022 in England and reaching the 2023 World Cup final, England’s Lionesses won over the public. Now their next generation has the chance to shine once more before the home fans.

With football’s powerbrokers backing the bid and the tournament calendar set to favour the Home Nations, excitement is already building – even with ten years to go. Expect packed stadiums and fan zones as well as a few additional trophies.

So, dust off your face paint and mark your calendars – 2035 could be the year the Lionesses roar on home turf.
