A MAN was stabbed in the back to death at Manilva. It appears that an argument about money led to this.
The German national who is said to have been the alleged murderer has now been arrested.
Around 9.30 am on Saturday, 29th March, the emergency services 112 received a phone call.
A man was found stabbed to the abdomen on the A-377 in downtown (calle Doctor Alvarez Leiva).

Paramedics and Guardia Civil agents were dispatched to the scene. A helicopter was called in due to the severity of the injuries.
Despite receiving urgent medical care, the victim, who was said to be in 30s, died on the spot.

Antonio Marin is the Municipal Group’s spokesperson. He said, “We want to end the violence and insecurity that Manilva residents have been experiencing.”
He demanded that security cameras be installed immediately in the streets of the town.
The violence in Manilva is out of hand, he said: “Fights are taking place in public spaces on a regular basis.”
He stated that he was saddened by the killing.

What happened on Saturday was predictable. “Manilva residents have become accustomed to insecurity within their own neighbourhoods because of the lack local police officers,” said he.
Therefore, he explained, Vox has filed a motion requesting the installation of security cameras in Manilva’s urban areas ‘to combat the increase in crime throughout the municipality.’
Señor Marin assured the people of Manilva that this issue would be debated at the very next pleno (full session) of the Manilva town council.
“As a priority, we must have technology that can be used to read the number plates on cars in all of the troubled areas of town,” said he.
Señor Marin had no hesitation in linking Manilva’s violence problem to the drug trade.
The drug dealers and squatters are responsible for the increasing crimes in our community.
The law enforcement agencies can be more effective at combating violent offenders if they have the right tools to monitor them 24 hours a day 365 days a years.
