Club shut down in Madrid after police discover drug den and exotic shark

CSN News reports that a club in Madrid was closed after police discovered a drug den and exotic fish.


A MADRID smoking club was shut down after it was found to be selling drugs and keeping a shark exotic in a fish aquarium. 

Three people have been arrested on charges of crimes against the public health following the discovery that San Blas-Canillejas was a place where hashish, marihuana and other drugs were sold.

The investigation began on January 17 after agents noticed an ‘unusual’ amount of people going in and out of the establishment. 

The police raided a property on March 13 and arrested two men, seized 400 grams of narcotics and detained a woman.

They also found over €1,300 in cash, a vehicle, measuring equipment and a small shark kept illegally in an aquarium.
