As part of Torremolinos’s commemoration of the Day of Rare Diseases, the Casa de Cultura hosts the exhibition ‘Retrospective’, by Dori Agudo, promoted by ASENSE-A.
Artist Dori Agudo has been a drawing and painting monitor at the Casa de Cultura in Churriana since 2021, as well as a frequent collaborator on the digital magazine ‘La noche se hace late’ and illustrator of books and covers such as ‘La felicidad es de color merdía’, ‘En los tejados del mundo’ and ‘Del Colour del Océano’. She held 15 solo exhibitions between 1996 and 2024 in Churriana, Alhaurín de la Torre, Torremolinos, Vélez Málaga, Málaga and Marbella, among other places.
Dori, a mother of two children suffering from rare diseases who is also a member in the Asense Andalusia Association is here to share with you her 25-year journey and experience. She wants to help raise awareness and educate others about these diseases.
The Association of Neuromuscular diseases of Andalusia is a non profit organisation that was established in Andalusia in 2000. Today, the NGO operates and offers its services throughout Andalucía and on a national level and is federated as one of the 26 associations that make up the Spanish Federation of Neuromuscular Diseases, with more than 8000 members, representing the more than 60,000 affected throughout Spain.
Dori Agudo’s ‘Retrospective’ exhibition can be visited until April 3 at the Casa de Cultura, which opens from 9am to 2pm and from 3pm to 9pm, from Monday to Friday.
