After a year-long hunt, a burglar who scaled walls in order to steal from dozens of homes is finally caught – CSN News


The arrest of a man 32 years old has brought to an end a 15-month search for a burglar that robbed 33 homes on the Costa Blanca.

Guardia Civil says the Spaniard forced the window locks on the homes while the homeowners were away to force open the walls.

Authorities launched an operation in December 2023 to catch the ‘superthief’ which proved to be difficult.

He waited days, or even weeks after each robbery to strike again in hopes that the Guardia Civil will lose interest.

The officers were finally able to detain and identify the suspect, March 4, thanks to their extensive monitoring.

The search of the home revealed many stolen items, but most had been sold.

Some goods were returned to the rightful owners.

The burglar was convicted of similar crimes.
