Main Ronda Road is closed until August. A landslide that occurred during recent storms has caused the road connecting Ronda to the Costa Del Sol to be closed until the end of August.

Main Ronda Road closed until August

The main road that connects Ronda The Costa Del Sol was badly affected by a landslideThe road will not reopen until at least August.  The A-397 has been completely closed and it is expected that repairs will take at least 6 months.  By August, the regional government says that there could be only one lane of traffic with traffic signals to control it.  The landslide took place on Saturday, March 8th. Boulders completely blocked the road at Los Madronos and damaged the bridge.

The roadwork could take six months.

San Pedro-Ronda Alternative Routes You can also travel via Coin and Ardales or Gaucin and Manilva.  The journey time is about 1 hour 40 minutes.
