Kyle Alessandro is a young Norwegian lad of 18 years old with roots in Fuengirola. He has won the opportunity to represent Norway at the next Eurovision Song Contest.
The half-Spanish and half-Norwegian singer won the Melodi Grand Prix decider contest, and will represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest that will be held on May 17th in Basel (Switzerland).
The 18-year old singer, dancer and producer, who is also a composer and producer, won the contest for his song Lighter. It received an impressive 9 out of 10. He won with 307 points – 117 more than second place.
Kyle wrote and produced Lighter in his Steinkjer room, a small Norwegian town where he lives. Kyle is a Fuengirola native, but he has deep roots there. His father, who is originally from Fuengirola is also his mother. She is Norwegian, but has recently overcome a difficult cancer battle.
The Eurovision stage won’t mark his debut. Kyle was 16 years old when he sang Geronimo with the group Umami Tsunami in 2023. Unfortunately, the group didn’t perform well.
Kyle will perform his song, ‘Lighter’, a tribute to his mother, on May 17 in Basel at the Eurovision. There will no doubt be a lot of people cheering for him in Costa del Sol.
