Paradas’ centrepiece, the Palacio de los Arrayanes (Palacio Carmen de los Arrayanes), is an amazing replica of Alhambra.
This labour of love was realised by Jose Luis Romero Nuñez, who dedicated 12 years (from 1993 to 2005) to recreating the Nasrid masterpiece.
Romero’s detailed project was shaped by his frequent visits to Alhambra with the aid of skilled artisans.
The palace was originally intended to be a family home, but has now become a popular tourist destination, as well as a filming location that showcases the magnificence of Moorish architectural splendour.
Paradas’ historical centre is worth exploring, as well as this architectural jewel.

El Greco’s work is prominent in the 18th century Church of San Eutropio.
