Apple claims that this modem is the most energy-efficient ever to be used in an iPhone. The device, built for Apple Intelligence integrates AI-powered personalized features while maintaining privacy.

iPhone 16e: Better camera and longer battery life

Apple has equipped its iPhone 16e model with a 48MP Fusion Camera, which features a 2-x optical zoom, essentially offering two cameras. Cameras with advanced computational photography, night mode and Portrait mode are available for improved image quality. The device also boasts the longest battery life of any 6.1-inch iPhone. It lasts up to 12 hours more than the iPhone SE and six hours more than the iPhone 11.

Sustainability iPhone 16

Apple has designed the iPhone 16e with more than 30% recycled materials. This includes 100% recycled cobalt for the battery, and 85% recycled aluminum in the enclosure. Apple has a goal of eliminating plastic packaging within the next year. The packaging now uses only fibres.

What price is the iPhone 16e?

The iPhone 16e will be available in two matte finishes – black and white – with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Prices start at $599 (approximately €550). Pre-orders will begin February 21 with delivery starting February 28 on major markets such as the UK, Germany France and Spain.
