The exhibition ‘Espejos del Alma’ (Mirrors of the Soul), by Laura Porporatto, can be visited at the Casa de los Navajas, Torremolinos until April 20.
The exhibit features works that represent the complexity of the eyes and their symbolism from the artist’s perspective. According to Porporatto, ‘Throughout history, the eyes have been represented in various ways, not only as organs of vision, but as carriers of emotions, thoughts and deep human connections.’
Laura Porporatto was born in Santa Fe, Argentina in 1988. Her career has been dominated by artistic photography and painting. She has been involved in many individual and group shows in Argentina and Spain.
Her work explores identity, personality, and the unconscious: it also addresses psychoanalysis, and all of its intricacies, disciplines she studied while studying Fine Art at University.
Her work reveals the close relationship between art and psychology, and invites reflection and introspection.
The exhibition runs from February 21 through April 20 at Casa de los Navajas. It is open from Wednesdays to Sundays between 10am and 2pm, or 3pm and 6pm. The entry is free.
