A shipment of 13 kilograms of cocaine bound for Spain has been intercepted by Columbian authorities through international cooperation.

Two containers, directly connected to the gang under investigation, arrived in Valencia from Costa Rica in December.

Six raids followed the seizure of the cache in Benidorm, La Nucia (province Alicante) and the Valencian towns El Puig de Santa Maria & Benetusser.

This led to nine people being arrested for drug trafficking, and membership in a criminal organization.

One of the people investigated has been using false Portuguese documents since 2019 in order to create a new identity.

The National Court had already sentenced him to prison for drug trafficking.

Police are searching for a man that was not in his La Nucia house during the raids.
