Watch: Climate chaos in Spain as half the nation is positioned on alert amid heavy rainfall and flooding – CSN


DRAMATIC scenes have been recorded in Spain amid heavy rainfall and storms.

A complete of 28 provinces, making up half the nation, is on alert for rainfall, which will likely be ‘very robust’ in some areas.

Albacete has been one of many hardest hit, with movies exhibiting excessive flooding, with one muddy stream seen carrying a transport container and a number of bins.

In response to climate company Aemet, the warnings for each rain and storms are in place in Cordoba and Jaen (Andalucia); Cantabria; Avila, Burgos, Salamanca, Segovia and Soria (Castilla y Leon); Albacete, Ciudad Actual and Toledo (Castilla-La Mancha); Badajoz and Caceres (Extremadura); La Rioja and Melilla.

These on alert for simply rainfall are Huesca, Teruel and Zaragoza (Aragon); Cuenca and Guadalajara (Castilla-La Mancha); Barcelona, ??Girona, Lleida and Tarragona (Catalunya); Neighborhood of Madrid; and Alicante, Castellon and Valencia (Valencian Neighborhood). As well as, Melilla is on alert for storms.

Whereas temperatures are set to drop, forecasters haven’t predicted a chilly snap.

Highs of 28C are forecast in Almeria, Bilbao, Granada and Sevilla, for instance.
