Police in Murcia Disrupt International Marijuana Smuggling Operation – CNS News

The National Police of Murcia have successfully dismantled a criminal network composed of Polish and Romanian nationals engaged in the distribution of marijuana across northern Europe. This significant operation culminated in the interception of a lorry containing 34 kilos of the drug, which was en route to the UK.

The police action focused on the area of Molina de Segura, a region known for its criminal activity related to drug trafficking. While several members of the gang were apprehended during the operation, authorities have confirmed that the identified leader of the group remains at large and is currently evading capture.

Spain is increasingly recognized as the largest exporter of marijuana in Europe, with its cannabis production operations thriving in various regions. The dismantling of this gang highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and related crimes. The police are continuing their investigation to track down the remaining suspects and further disrupt the operations of such criminal organizations.
