Melody won the Saturday competition easily based on public and jury votes.

This year’s Eurovision Song Contest is taking place in Basel Switzerland on May 17, and Spain will be looking to emulate the success of Chantel Slo Mo who finished third 2022.

Both the international jury and viewers were not impressed with the last two entries.

Melodia Ruiz Gutierrez was born in Dos Hermanas, Sevilla province.

She became famous at age 10 with her song “El Baile del gorila”, which was one of the most popular summer hits in 2001.

Melody’s love for music was influenced by her parents. Since then, she has released six studio album and numerous singles.

She claims that she was able to sing before she spoke.

Melody’s father contacted a producer, who was very impressed. Melody released her first studio recording – De Pata Nera.

MELODY CELEBRATES WINS

Melody, who had a photo shoot on Benidorm’s Plaza del Castell Sunday, revealed that on Wednesday she was admitted to hospital for chest pains that were affecting her breathing.

The singer said, “I did not say anything to avoid worrying anyone.”

Melody insisted that ‘it’s been months of hard work’ in which she’s combined her professional life with that of being a mother

“But I am blessed with a great family that supports me. And sometimes, you need to juggle everything around, just like every mum.”
