Man ‘spiked his friend’s 17-year-old daughter and filmed aftermath’ during a party at a tourist hotspot in Spain’s Balearics – CSN News


A MAN faces ten years in prison after allegedly drugging, and sexually abusing his female friend’s 17-year old daughter at a Menorca-based party.

A court heard that the man repeatedly grabbed the victim’s drink glass at a party held in the tourist hub of Mahon on October 20, 2022. Later, he woke up inside his house.

“I recall seeing him try drinking from my glasses a few times,” she told her court via video.

She described later feeling her ‘eyes closing’ and feeling extreme weakness before the accused offered to take her back to her youth centre accommodation.

The alleged crime was committed in Mahon (the capital of Menorca) in October 2022

Later, she found herself in her house.

She said, “I felt enormous helplessness and was unable to defend me.”

During a dramatic confrontation with the accused two days later, when the mother ‘let out a devastating scream and went after him.’

The victim informed the court that, although she had no direct memory about it, she later learned of possible video footage and the involvement of a potential third party.

The coordinator at the youth center in which the victim lived said that the accused is known to associate with children under the age of 18. He added that his name appeared previously in a case involving individuals under the age of 18.

If found guilty of sexually abusing a minor through spiking their drink, the accused could be sentenced to 10 years behind bars.

The accused is scheduled to give his testimony last, at the request of his defense team.
