La Cala de Mijas beer festival rock n’ roll

Birra & Art Beer Festival is coming to La Cala de Mijas, opening Thursday, August 7, and continuing until Sunday, August 10, celebrating a savouring of world craft beers and good old rock’n’roll.

This is the second year that the event takes place in La Cala. The Boulevard will be lined with draft, bottled and canned beer, over 55 different craft beer types, tasty street food from foodtrucks as well live music performances. The event will feature Argentinian and Chilean meat grills as well as gourmet burgers and spicy Mexican cuisine.

The La Cala Boulevard is the venue for this beer festival, which will take place from August 7 to 10. Each evening from 7pm till 1am. The council is hoping that this new venue, an open, scenic boulevard lined with trees, will foster a family friendly atmosphere for the beer stalls. This year, live music will be provided by Queen of Magic on Thursday, local heroes Money Makers, Crush Band, and Mama Curl, a soulful tribute to Queen, on Saturday, and the soulful Mama Curl, on Sunday.

The event organizers and the city council invite residents to this fun-filled celebration. Music, gastronomy and an impressive selection of craft beers are sure to create a festive atmosphere and lots of laughter.
