Global outage of Facebook and Instagram leaves millions without access to to social media –


Meta applications, Instagram and Facebook, have gone down globally this afternoon (Tuesday), leaving thousands of users without access to their services, as many rushed to change their passwords thinking they were being hacked. For now, WhatsApp, the company’s other platform, continues to operate in most of the world.

Mark Zuckerberg’s applications have experienced numerous falls worldwide in recent months. A month ago, users also complained about the failure of Instagram worldwide, which was left not working on many devices. Likewise, several times in 2023 there were also crashes on these platforms.

Users’ sessions say they have “expired” when trying to log into their profiles asking them to re-enter or change their passwords. However, memes have not taken long to appear on X (Twitter), the social media network that users have taken to, to search for what has happened to the Meta platforms.
