A VALENCIA man with five legal warrants against him- including two to send him to prison- taunted authorities via a live video stream before the Policia Nacional arrived and arrested him.
The 28-year-old Spaniard was due to a report to a prison on Tuesday and started streaming on social media from his phone while sat on a bench in the Funesanta district of the city.
He said he would violate the court order and that the police ‘should look for him’ because ‘that was what they were paid to do’.
Asked by somebody if he was going to jail, he responded sarcastically: “I don’t think so, especially with this hot weather.”
He also boasted about taking drugs.
A Policia Nacional patrol in Funesanta were alerted about his streaming activity and located him.
The man tried to escape as officers ordered him to stop, before being intercepted and verbally abusing one of them.
Dozens of people had gathered by that stage who shouted insults at the police and even tried to hinder the arrest.
He was imprisoned on the two warrants of robbery with violence and reckless driving.
Other counts against him include robbery with force, violating a sentence order, and attacking a police officer.
He is said to have had numerous other police arrests under his belt.
