Flights are diverted from Malaga airport due to foggy conditions – CSN News


10 trips might not land at Malaga airport terminal on Friday early morning as a result of thick haze.

Planes were rerouted to Granada and Sevilla in between 8.21 am and 9.03 am

7 trips from Madrid, Fez (Morocco), Pisa, Milan and Genoa (Italy), Fragrance (Germany) and Nantes (France) were drawn away to Sevilla.

3 solutions from Melilla, Santiago de Compostela and Lyon (France) landed at Granada.

Private providers needed to make a decision whether to move travelers by trainer to Malaga or by airplane, as soon as the haze removed.

The Malaga paths are close to the sea and are as a result prone to thick hazes throughout the year.

The control tower turned on ‘reduced presence treatments’ very early in the early morning as the thick and unforeseen haze showed up.
