DANA brings Snow to Malaga As Storm Blows Costa del Sol CSN News


MALAGA is enjoying the snow as DANA, a new storm, batters its coast. 

In high altitudes, snow has fallen up to 10cm in some areas. 

The Torrecilla Peak of the Sierra de las Nieves National Park is 1,919 meters high. 

Up to ten centimetres snow fell in Puerto de los Ventisqueros (between Tolox and Yunquera)

Axarquia, in the mountains above Malaga had also seen snow.

La Maroma, which is 2,069 meters above sea level has been covered with a thick layer in the Sierras Tejeda National Park.

However,  snow has still not fallen in Alfarnate and Alfarnatejo, but it has landed in the Sierra de Camarolos. 

Yellow weather warnings are expected to remain in place throughout the day. 

Costa’s sun is back tomorrow. Expect highs of 18C, and lows 8C.
