If you are flying out of airports in Turkey, Morocco or Tirana (Albania), printed Ryanair boarding cards are required. Ryanair has issued a warning for these three countries that do not accept the digital boarding pass.
“We accept mobile boarders for flights departing from the majority of airports within our network. Unfortunately, some airports are still unable to accept mobile passes. Ryanair stated that passengers travelling from airports in this category must check-in and print their paper boarding passes.
The printed boarding card disappears
This warning is despite the recent announcement made by Michael O’Leary the CEO of Irish airline who stated his intention to stop printing boarding passes in May 2025 and instead make them digital. Ryanair announced the measure as part of its commitment to digitalisation with a supposed goal of streamlining their processes.
