Drug traffickers used dozens of homes for illegal marijuana farms that caused regular power blackouts in Valencia

CSN News reported that drug traffickers were using dozens of homes to grow marijuana illegally, causing power outages in Valencia.


The illegal hookups of a marijuana farming gang in Cullera are the cause of frequent power outages.

The Guardia Civil measured the consumption one early morning, suspecting that it was due to excessive power use.

The amperage metering revealed 31 places where illegal electricity syphoning was taking place.

The supplier helped them analyse the power levels of each property within a Cullera District to determine the level of abuse.

A number of officers were deployed outside homes to prevent the residents from escaping.

The power supply was also disconnected in order to prevent anyone from being electrocuted.

MARIJUANA PLANTS GALORE

Following the seizure of 100 kilos marijuana, 40 people (all Spaniards) are being investigated.

They are facing 39 counts for fraudulently obtaining electrical power as well as trafficking in drugs.
