Marbella paid tribute to one of its most loved residents, actress María Bravo, by naming a roundabout near her Casa Ángeles project after her.
The glittering ceremony was a celebration of Bravo’s humanitarian work, as founder of the Global Gift Foundation. This foundation supports vulnerable communities and children with special needs.
At the ceremony, Marbella’s mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, sang the praises of Bravo as a global ambassador who has elevated the city’s name through her work as an artist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. “María has carried Marbella’s spirit to the world, embodying our finest values,” Muñoz said, paying tribute to Bravo’s contributions to social initiatives, particularly Casa Ángeles, a centre dedicated to inclusion and support for children with special needs and their families. The mayor said that the roundabout symbolizes Marbella City’s gratitude to Bravo for his unwavering dedication.
Eva Longoria, actress and Global Gift ambassador, was in attendance at the event. She called Bravo an “inspiration” who deserved every accolade. Celebrities such as Amaury Norlasco and Brigitte Nielson also attended the event to honor Bravo.
Bravo described Marbella, clearly moved, as “my home, my city where I find peace.” She humbly shared the recognition with her team and Casa Ángeles volunteers, crediting them for turning her vision into reality. She said that the honour belonged to all those who had walked with her on this journey.
As Muñoz expressed, Marbella shines brighter because of Bravo’s selfless work. This heartfelt and timely tribute ensures that Bravo’s contributions will be etched in the landscape and memory of Marbella.
