Benahavís, Costa del Sol: Migrants Transferred to Regional Resort

The Spanish Government has transferred 376 migrants, primarily men from Mali, Senegal, and Guinea, from the Canary Islands to the Hotel Caledonia in the Bel Air community of Benahavís, Costa del Sol.

According to Benahavís Town Hall, the migrants are expected to stay until April 2025, after which the hotel will reopen to the public. The NGO Engloba will manage the migrants’ stay, with its representatives assuming responsibility as officials from the Ministry of Inclusion withdraw.

Local residents have already expressed concerns about a noticeable increase in crime in the area. Frustrated by the lack of communication and transparency from authorities, many are now organizing to form a demonstration committee, with plans to hold a protest at Estepona Town Hall.

The President and Committee of Hotel Caledonia also stated they were not informed of these plans. They blamed the outgoing Administrator of the operating company for failing to notify them.

  1. I don’t understand why it’s ALWAYS only young men who are migrants, why don’t we ever see young wemon 🤔
And why do the always need to be violent and criminals 🤬.

I actually don’t think they appreciate what’s being done for them, and EU is only digging its own grave, by letting them in !!
