Antas keeps tradition alive – CSN News


The Fourth Year of Matanza will be held on February 9 in Antas, at the Plaza de Aljariz. This local tradition brings people together. Three local associations will host the event starting at 12 pm and offer a taster of traditional Spanish cuisine.

Traditions of Matanza

Matanzas are a centuries old tradition in which families and communities come together to prepare sausages, cured meats, and other products. Although it started as a way of providing food for the whole year, it has evolved into a celebration of local food, culture and community. This event is not for everyone.

Local flavours

You’ll find a wide variety of traditional, fresh products, made using flavours that have been passed down from generation to generation. Prices are reasonable, so you can enjoy the local cuisine.
