The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is hosting a Summer of Stars and Science, including a Live Planetarium Show and an Immersive Exhibit of Leonardo da Vinci.


VALENCIA’S Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències is offering an extraordinary summer lineup that blends science, art, and family fun. Visitors can experience live planetariums, immersive experiences dedicated Leonardo da Vinci, and a host of interactive exhibitions and theatrical science shows—all designed to engage audiences of every age.

Summer Nights in the Planetarium: Live astronomy

Back by popular demand, the Hemisfèric presents a new season of Las Nocturnas de Verano—live planetarium sessions taking place every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 PM until September 4. These shows, led by experts, explore the night sky of summer, highlighting constellations, and the brightest stars for the season. It’s a journey into the cosmos that is real-time and recommended for audiences 10 and older.

Celebrate Leonardo da Vinci 500 Years of Genius

The Museu de les Ciències is launching one of its most anticipated exhibitions of 2025: Leonardo da Vinci. 500 Years Of Genius. This interactive and educational exhibition uses cutting-edge digital technology to explore the multifaceted legacy of da Vinci—not only as an artist, but as a visionary inventor and scientist.

Highlights include

  • This fully immersive gallery will transport visitors to Renaissance Florence and Rome.
  • There are themed areas that focus on masterworks like the Mona Lisa or the Vitruvian man
  • Leonardo’s workshop recreated
  • VR Florence Flyover, a VR experience that will take you above the historic city.

Family Favorites: Metamorphosis and Dinosaurs

New exhibition at the Museum is aimed at families. Metamorphosis, the Power of Transformation Five fantastic themed zones introduce children (age 6+) to the Science of Change.

Space Exploration continues on the Third Floor

The third floor of the museum offers an exhibition journey through space, including:

The guests can also stroll along the Chromosome forestAn interactive area filled with science-based games. The ground floor hosts daily science demonstrations and experimentation. La Ciencia a Escena Workshops are running all through September 7, 2009.

Stunning Fulldome Films at the Hemisfèric

In addition to live planetarium shows, the Hemisfèric’s film schedule includes spectacular fulldome and 3D productions:
