The Centro de Arte Contemporáneo (CAC) Francisco Hernández de Vélez-Málaga has a brand new exhibition by well-known Vélez artist Antonio Belda.
The central work within the exhibition is the big format triptych La Toma de Málaga, 1487 (The Taking of Malaga, 1487), a piece created between 2002 and 2005, which represents the reconquest of Malaga by the Catholic Monarchs. The triptych is accomplished with two different canvases, Fuente del Parque, which exhibits a sculpture of a nymph with an ewer fountain, and Tuareg, which depicts a nomad on a horse.
The artist expressed the emotions he needs to convey with the primary portray within the exhibition. “This can be a work that’s not about revenge or dangerous blood between good guys and dangerous guys, it is a work of friendship, the place each King Ferdinand’s facet and the Muslims symbolize the perfect of the folks and the 2 cultures. This can be a portray for encounter, it’s not a portray of division,” he defined.
