A FATHER AND SON have been arrested for allegedly being members of an Italian Mafia gang in Malaga.
A 47-year-old born in the Milanese area, has been in Malaga running various businesses for several years.
The gang’s Italian base is also suspected of having a son who is 22.

Police Nacional and their Italian counterparts collaborated in an operation which saw 22 additional people arrested in Italy.
The Malaga detainees are said to be the key members of a gang which operated in Milan Brianza Rome and Palermo, shipping hashish cocaine and marijuana.
The 2021 investigations began to bring an illegal gang down that was also involved in the sale of weapons and money laundering.
The crew allegedly delivered brutal justice to those who were in debt due to cocaine sales.
In Aprile 2022, a smuggler was assaulted in Tenerife for not having cleared an €8,000 debt with his father finally taking it on to avoid further reprisals.
The gang is reported to have moved. €1.4 million between May and October 2021 alone.
Hawala, a system of informal transfers, was used to make transfers between Italy and Spain. The money was laundered through a network run by Chinese nationals who charged a commission of 1.5%.
The raids conducted in Italy resulted in large quantities of drugs. These included 15.5 kilos cocaine, 457 kg hashish as well as 90 kilos and 150 marijuana plants.
Heavy weapons including silencers, semiautomatic pistols and grenades were confiscated.
