The Pre-Columbian Art Gallery in Benalmadena Pueblo is planning for among its most awaited tasks of the year: the Church of the Dead and the Ceremony of Catrinas and Heads, which will certainly be hung on October 25 at 6.30 pm, via the Plaza de las Tres Culturas and the roads of Benalmádena community.
Benalmadena Gallery participates the party of Mexico’s Day of the Dead as each year and commemorates this abstract heritage of humankind, proclaimed by UNESCO in 2008.
Friday, October 17, the commencement of the Church of the Dead, an event that expands in dimension each year at the Pre-Columbian Art Gallery, will certainly be gone along with by a seminar in which art chronicler Maribel Álvarez will certainly describe all the components that make this party a memorable occasion.
The Church of the Dead can be checked out free of cost up until November 10 throughout the gallery’s normal opening hours, from Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm and from 5pm to 7pm, and on Sundays and vacations from 10am to 2pm.
The Day of the Dead is commemorated on November second, and it is thought that spirits return from the immortality to see their enjoyed ones and appreciate what were their preferred foods and items in life, used on the church. Hence, someday a year, the living and the dead can appreciate this extremely unique vacation with each other. It is unquestionably among one of the most cherished and valued Mexican celebrations.
