HUÉRCAL-OVERA and the Provincial Council of Almeria alongside the Youth Bureau, have trained 25 new leisure and free time monitors.
Participants ranged in age from 14-30 years. The course included training in first aid, programming activities for children and youth, and monitoring skills.
The course was designed to teach young people skills that they can apply in their future career.
The 25-hour course has provided students with the tools necessary to plan, evaluate and implement activities that can easily be implemented by a leisure time and free time monitor in order to choose the best strategies. Diplomas were given for finishing the training by the Vice President of the Provincial Council José Antonio García and the Councillor for Young people Juani Egea.
Egea stated that “we continue training the young people from our municipality to give them more opportunities to access the labour market and enrich themselves personally”.
The Youth Bureau has organized the Training for Young People (TJP) program. Its courses aim to meet training needs for young people and give them the knowledge and skills they need to enter the job market.
