A 73 year old Finn was sentenced to 22-years in prison after he murdered his partner, 68 years of age, and then cut her up, dumping pieces of her body around Torrevieja.
The Alicante Provincial Court can appeal the sentence.
Kari Petter-Jokela was also given a 10-year restraining orders that bars her from communicating with the two children of the deceased.

If he is granted a licence, he must maintain a minimum distance of 500 metres.
The victim – named Maija and also Finnish – had parts of her body put into plastic bags and dumped in waste containers in the Aguas Nuevas area of Torrevieja.
Maija’s left arm and head were never found.
The killer had been in a relationship for 18 months with the victim but ended things abruptly to get her money.
He planned his crime meticulously, and even made notes on the calendar of his mobile phone.
After the murder, the note read: “First day of no anxiety caused by Maija.”
Last month, he was found guilty by a jury in Torrevieja.
